MMS for many mobile users is an important part of comfortable communication and work. With the help of multimedia messages, you can send photos, videos and audio files. However, to use this function, you must make the correct settings. So, how to enable and configure the MMS on the iPhone? We will discuss this further.
MMS setup process
This article will discuss general setting up MMS on iPhone. In this case, for each individual operator, settings are made that differ from each other. You can find them on the official sites of mobile operators.
Below is an example of the basic settings for MMS on iPhone:
- you need to go to “Home” and select the “Settings” menu;
- after that, you need to click "Basic";
- then you need to go to the "Network" section;
- after that, the “Cellular Data Network” option should be enabled.
At the final stage, the settings of your operator for MMS are entered. Subscribers can find out the settings for their operator on their official sites of cellular companies.
After you have set up a profile for MMS, experts advise you to restart the gadget. Then you need to specify the number of the shipment or enter the number:
- you must enable the "Settings";
- go to the "Phone" section;
- the next step is to choose "My number".
After that, you will need to enter the number of the SIM card you are using. For rooms registered in Russia, all numbers start with + 7.
When the subscriber makes the necessary settings, you will need to restart the smartphone again. Otherwise, the function will not turn on and the subscriber will not be able to receive, as well as send MMS. Only after the next reboot, you will be able to fully use multimedia messages.
It should be noted that when the subscriber will send each message, the camera icon should be displayed to the left of the text input field. If there is none, and after the next reboot, you will need to re-enter all settings from the beginning. The phone will automatically determine the type of message being sent. And if there is no photo in it, then it will be sent as a standard SMS message, and if a file is added, then it will be designated as multimedia.
To add a photo to the message, for example, the subscriber needs to click on the camera icon. When sending a file, the subscriber is offered to “Select existing” or the second option - “Take a new photo”. The user simply selects the appropriate option, for example, he can take a new picture. After that, a new window opens, or rather a camera window. After the shooting process has been carried out, and the result is satisfied with the user, it’s enough to press the “Use” button.
You can also include any text in MMS and press the “Send” button. After that, the download period will disappear. In the event that a message has not been sent, an icon with an exclamation mark will be displayed next to the photo. By clicking on it, the subscriber will receive information with the reason that the message cannot be sent.
